Берестой начал заниматься с1990г.
Вначале изготавливал коробушки, туеса, шкатулки. Являлся мастером
центра народного творчества &"Гамаюн&".
Учавствовал во многих выставках со своими
работами. Много работ было куплено иностранцами и находяться в частных коллекциях за рубежом.
