Родился в Москве в 1962 году. Внук известного поэта Дмитрия Кедрина (1907-1945).
В 1979 окончил Краснопресненскую Детскую Художественную школу.
В 1986 окончил Московский Полиграфический Институт (ныне МГУП им. Ивана Фёдорова) по специальности «художник-график».
С 1986 по 1996 работал в области рекламы, графического дизайна и иллюстрации.
