Учился в Федоскинской школе миниатюрной живописи. Окончил Московское художественное училище памяти 1905 года. В станковой живописи художник работает в жанре пейзажа и натюрморта. Любит и копирует голландскую живопись, особенно натюрморты с цветами (многие из копий находятся в частных коллекциях).
