Mikhail Antonov was born in Karakalpakstan in 1956. There he received artistic education. The Director of the Nukus Museum of Arts Igor Vitalievich Savitsky influenced much the formation of of his artistic skill. Mikhail is one of the brightest representatives of mixed-modern, who leads the viewer into his invisible inner world, transforming the external cover of reality, synthesizing and creating another environment, associating it with the dream, with the intuitive strive for perfection and harmony. As a result we see the image which came to life in the space, the new world causing all kinds of feelings, translated to the language of arts and expressed on the canvas. A rare gift distinguishing colours and deep individuality of his works attracts the collectors and gallery workers of various countries—from the East to Western Europe and America.
